New member of Pretty Ricky 4 Play aka Ambition Da Kid is a Pittsburgh native he has been the cherographer for the trio C.R.A.V.E also signed under Blue Star.

Just in time for a hot summer, self proclaimed “Bad Boys of R&B,” Pretty Ricky will return with a new member and new album entitled “80s Babies.”

The R&B group known for their hits “Grind on Me” and “Love Like Honey” will host a live webcast Monday, May 19th introducing their new singer, 4 Play and single “Cuddle Up” (feat. Butta Creame).

80's Babies follows the group’s sophomore chart topping and gold certified album “Late Night Special” slated for release August 26th.

The introduction of the new member follows a nationwide search hosted by the group earlier this year after the departure of singer Pleasure who left the group last fall to pursue solo endeavors.

"I've been working towards this moment my whole life," says 4Play. "To see the success finally happen, to actually be making music and to be a part of the Pretty Ricky family, is like watching my dreams come true. I feel truly blessed."

"Pretty Ricky is more than just a group; it's a lifestyle, a state of mind," says co-founder Diamond Blue. "4Play is the perfect addition to the Pretty Ricky family."

Pretty Ricky has made a name for themselves as an electrifying live act and chart topping group since their 2005 debut album “Bluestars.” The Miami based group including members Spectacular, Slick em’, and Baby Blue (Diamond Blue) earned a Best R&B Album nomination at the 2nd Annual Ozone Magazine Awards and a BET Award for “Best Costume in a Video” last year.

Big Mama is Back

That is right, The New Orlean trip for Big Mama ( Brenda Franklin) has ended she was invited to New Orleans on behalf of Ruth Chris Steakhouse to open their new location at the Harrah Casino in New Orleans, LA. She trained under the Ruth Chris chefs during this visit and brought a lot of the experience back to Pittsburgh to release on to her customers, patrons, and even fans. Big Mama for those whom may not know is what I call a real life celebrity, she was blessed with the title, she graces the stage of KDKA during Pittsburgh Live, she displays faith and spirit on the series Early on the Case Small Business Big Rescue on CBS Early Show.

Time to move on

I am sad to announce that I will be releasing my management role and operational role with my production company IDI Productions and Urban Web Television to focus on my Public Relations role and vision Promotional Push. Dads: feeling a bit left out of the target market for most parenting magazines? Well, feel ignored no more: Anwan Wesley, a Pittsburgh father of two is doing what he can to rectify the situation by launching his new parenting magazine, "Fatherhood." According to TimesLeader.com, the idea came to Wesley while he was in an obstetrician's waiting room with his pregnant girlfriend: "there were plenty of parenting magazines aimed at women. But there was nothing for young men trying to help rear children in an urban environment.""The motivation for me was to help the kids, because I see the kids out here suffering," Wesley said. "I see the mothers are out here doing a lot of the work, and I see the fathers are not around at all in most cases. I have two sons (Amari, 1 1/2, and Tawan, 6) and I'll do anything for them, and I would like all kids to have a father like that who would sacrifice anything for them."TimesLeader continues by saying the publication will feature articles on young, expecting and single fathers, children's health, men's health and fitness, finances, music, movie and book reviews, education, fashion, influential people, spirituality, fathers' rights and other issues.I think this is an amazing idea. You go, man.

Hip Hop being awarded. Does it even get the recognition it deserves?

Hip Hop has come a long way since the early 80's with the likes of such legends such as Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, L L Cool J, and Roxanne Shaunte to where it is with its current state amongst the music industry. We have established a respect for this unique deliverance of culture, passion, and struggle all able to be combined into one form. The voice of the streets can now showcase their anger, love, and activities in a way without victimizing themselves to silence. As more artist release their life stories to the public, they are being more closely paid attention to and given press and profit from sharing their talent. One way that the music industry gives back to these artist is with award ceremonies. These ceremonies honor the existence of each artist for their commitment to their fans and what they have brought and will continue to bring to the music industry and the community. If just for more than a pat on the back the artist walk away with some form of acknowledgement. Does it even matter if you are positioned under a microscope for your views and criticized later on in the press about your content of your lyrics or can you continue past that and know that your artistic views were expressed?
